Ingredients
• Peels from 1 ripe pineapple
• 1 tablespoon whole cloves
• 2 liters of water
• Optional: 1 cinnamon stick or a small piece of fresh ginger for extra warmth.
• Optional: Honey or stevia to sweeten if desired.
Instructions
1. Clean the Pineapple
Wash the outside of the pineapple thoroughly using a vegetable brush and water to remove any dirt or residue from the skin. Peel the pineapple, keeping the skins and the core.
2. Combine Ingredients
In a large pot, add the pineapple peels, cloves, and any optional spices like cinnamon or ginger. Pour in 2 liters of water until the peels are fully submerged.
3. Boil and Simmer
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes. This allows the water to absorb the flavors and nutrients from the peels and cloves.
4. Steep and Cool
Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for another 30 minutes while it cools. For a stronger infusion, you can let it sit until it reaches room temperature.
5. Strain and Serve
Strain the liquid into a glass pitcher or bottle, discarding the solids. You can drink this tea warm or chilled. As mentioned in the image, some prefer to drink a glass 3 times a day.
