This striking, ruby-red infusion combines spiced chai tea with earthy beetroot, zesty ginger, and aromatic cinnamon. It serves as a deeply flavorful, sugar-free beverage that keeps hydration exciting while you are cutting calories.
Ingredients
The Concentrated Base: 2 cups water
The Spices: 1 large cinnamon stick, 3–4 fresh ginger slices, 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric root (sliced), a small pinch of black pepper
The Tea: 2 chai tea bags
The Ruby Color & Mix-ins: 1 small beetroot (sliced), 1/2 cup fresh cranberries, 1 lime (sliced), 2 stalks celery (cut into 2-inch pieces)
The Sweetener: Sugar-free liquid stevia or monk fruit drops (to taste)
To Finish: Cold filtered water and plenty of ice
Instructions
Step 1: Simmer the Aromatics
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the cinnamon stick, ginger slices, turmeric, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let the spices simmer for 10 minutes to extract their intense flavors and warmth.
Step 2: Steep the Tea
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Drop the 2 chai tea bags directly into the spiced water. Cover and let everything steep together for 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 3: Strain and Sweeten
Remove and discard the tea bags. Pour the warm liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup to strain out the loose pieces of ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon. While the liquid is still warm, stir in your preferred sugar-free sweetener until it completely dissolves. Let this concentrated base cool to room temperature.
Step 4: Assemble the Dispenser
Grab a large glass beverage dispenser or pitcher, similar to the one shown in image_15.png. Layer the bottom and sides with the fresh sliced beetroot, cranberries, lime wheels, and celery stalks to create the vibrant visual display captured in the image. Fill the dispenser halfway with crushed or cubed ice.
Step 5: Dilute and Serve
Pour the cooled, spiced chai concentrate over the ice and fresh produce. Top off the rest of the dispenser with cold filtered water, stirring gently to combine. The beetroot will quickly bleed into the liquid, turning the entire drink into a stunning ruby-red color. Serve chilled.
