Ingredients

 24 wonton wrappers

 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

 1 ½ cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (or a mix of Cheddar and Monterey Jack)

 4 oz cream cheese, softened

 ½ cup sour cream

 2 green onions, thinly sliced

 ¼ tsp garlic powder

 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a standard 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Shape the Cups: Gently press a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, ensuring it forms a neat well in the center with the edges pointing up. Bake the empty wonton wrappers for 5 minutes until they are just slightly crisp and pale golden. Remove from the oven.

3. Mix the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, sliced green onions, half of the crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese. Stir until completely smooth and uniform.

4. Fill the Cups: Spoon roughly 1 tablespoon of the creamy filling into each par-baked wonton cup.

5. Top and Bake: Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and crumbled bacon evenly across the top of each cup. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the wonton edges are a beautiful golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
