4-Ingredient Sunday Pot Roast

Ingredients

3–4 lb Beef Roast: (Chuck roast is recommended for the best “melt-in-your-mouth” texture).

2 Large Onions: Thickly sliced.

1 packet Onion Soup Mix: (Or au jus gravy mix).

1 can Beef Broth: (Or 1 cup of water).

Preparation Method

1. Layer: Place the sliced onions at the bottom of your slow cooker to act as a natural roasting rack and add deep flavor.

2. Season: Place the beef roast on top of the onions and sprinkle the soup mix evenly over the meat.

3. Add Liquid: Pour the beef broth around the sides of the roast (try not to wash the seasoning off the top).

4. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 8–10 hours or until the beef shreds easily with a fork.

5. Serve: Serve the beef topped with the tender, caramelized onions and the savory juices from the pot.
