Cheesy Cabbage & Ground Beef “Steaks”

Ingredients

1 Large Head of Cabbage: Cut into thick, 1-inch rounds.

1 lb Ground Beef: Seasoned with garlic, salt, and pepper.

Tomato Sauce: A few tablespoons to top each “steak”.

Shredded Mozzarella or Cheddar: For that “addictive” melted finish.

Olive Oil: For roasting the cabbage base.

Fresh Parsley: Chopped for garnish.

Preparation Method

1. Prep the Base: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Arrange the cabbage rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.

2. Season the Meat: In a bowl, mix your ground beef with your favorite spices (onion powder and smoked paprika go great here).

3. Assemble: Form the beef into flat patties and place one on top of each cabbage round.

4. First Bake: Roast in the oven for 20–25 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the beef is mostly cooked through.

5. The “Addictive” Topping: Remove from the oven, add a spoonful of tomato sauce to each patty, and cover generously with shredded cheese.

6. Final Melt: Return to the oven for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.

7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
