Ingredients
• 2-inch piece Fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
• 1 large Lemon, sliced into rounds
• 1 bunch Fresh mint leaves, lightly bruised to release oils
• 4 cups Water (filtered is best)
• Optional: A drop of honey or stevia if you prefer a hint of sweetness
• Optional: Sparkling water for a fizzy “ginger ale” version
Preparation
1. Prep the Ginger: Peel the ginger using the edge of a spoon. Slice it as thinly as possible to maximize the surface area for infusion. For a stronger flavor, you can lightly muddle the slices.
2. Combine: Place the ginger slices, lemon rounds, and fresh mint leaves into a large glass pitcher.
3. Infuse: Pour the water over the ingredients.
• Cold Brew: Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or overnight for maximum flavor).
• Hot Brew: Use hot (not boiling) water and let it steep for 10 minutes if you prefer a warm, soothing tea.
4. Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and a slice of ginger on the rim of the glass.
