Ingredients
• 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
• 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (for the chocolate topping)
Preparation
1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter.
2. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Stir until well blended.
3. Add Peanut Butter: Fold in the 1 ½ cups of peanut butter into the graham cracker mixture until the dough is smooth and uniform.
4. Press: Firmly press the peanut butter mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
5. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and the remaining 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth.
6. Layer: Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base and spread it evenly to the edges.
7. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate topping has completely set.
8. Serve: Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into squares. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator to keep them firm.
