Easy Bread in a Bag (No Mess, No Mixer)

Ingredients

 3 cups all-purpose flour

 3 tsp sugar

 1 packet instant (rapid-rise) yeast

 1¼ tsp salt

 3 tbsp olive oil

1 cup warm water (not hot)

Instructions

1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a heavy-duty gallon ziptop bag, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, sugar, and rapid-rise yeast. Seal the bag and squeeze lightly to mix.

2. Add Wet Ingredients: Open the bag and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Reseal the bag, pressing out excess air, and knead the bag with your hands until the mixture is fully combined.

3. Add Remaining Flour: Open the bag, add the remaining 2 cups of flour and the salt. Reseal and knead again through the bag until a soft dough forms and pulls away from the sides.

4. Rise: Let the dough rest in the sealed bag in a warm spot for about 20–30 minutes until it puffs up.

5. Shape & Bake: Remove the dough from the bag, shape it into a loaf, and place it into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
