Anti-Inflammatory Highlights
Lump Crab Meat: High in ultra-lean protein, essential mineral zinc, and anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids that support heart health and lower systemic inflammation.
Fresh Chives & Lemon Juice: Offer vibrant natural vitamin C and bioflavonoids that aid digestion, boost immunity, and help neutralize free radicals.
Ingredients
1 lb crab meat, lump, picked clean
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray light oil on a baking wire rack set inside a sheet pan.
2. Make the Creamy Base: In a large bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper until completely smooth.
3. Bind & Fold: Add the breadcrumbs and chopped fresh chives to the creamy mixture. Gently fold in the lump crab meat using a rubber spatula, taking care not to break up the large sweet lumps of crab.
4. Shape the Bombs: Divide the mixture into 4 large, compact balls (or 6 medium ones) using your hands or an ice cream scoop to form firm round “bombs.” Place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
5. Baste & Bake: Brush the top of each crab bomb generously with the melted butter and sprinkle a extra pinch of Old Bay or breadcrumbs if desired.
6. Bake to Golden: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until heated through and golden brown on top. (Broil for 1–2 extra minutes at the end for an extra crispy crust if preferred).
7. Serve: Garnish with extra chopped chives and serve hot alongside fresh lemon wedges!
