Ingredients:
1 roll of broken pastry
3 eggs
100 g of sugar
1 bag of vanilla sugar
80 g of flour
1 liter of milk
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Butter
Preparation:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 150°C (th. 5).
Step 2: Bring the milk to a boil. In the meantime, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar, then add flour.
Step 3: Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg/sugar mixture while whisking. Set the mixture aside.
Step 4: Butter a pie dish with high edges and place the broken pastry in it.
Step 5: Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork and pour in the flan mixture. Bake for 50 minutes. If the dough starts to brown too fast, cover the pie with aluminum foil.
Step 6: A few minutes before baking is done, sprinkle brown sugar on top for a caramelized finish.
Step 7: Remove the pie from the oven, let it cool, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
