Ingredients
• 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
• 1½ lbs ground beef
• 1 small onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella (optional, extra gooey)
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Butter or oil for greasing

👩🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat & prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish.
2. Cook the beef
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Drain excess fat.
3. Mix the sauce
In a bowl, combine sour cream and cream soup until smooth.
4. Layer it up
• Layer sliced potatoes on the bottom
• Add ground beef
• Spoon sauce over the top
• Sprinkle with cheese
Repeat layers, finishing with plenty of cheese.
5. Bake
Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
6. Rest & serve
Let sit 10 minutes before slicing.
