Ingredients:
12 oz (340g) penne pasta
1 pound (450g) ground beef
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Bacon and Beef:
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
3. In the same skillet, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Combine Ingredients:
4. Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked pasta. Mix well to combine.
5. Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
