Ingredients
- 1½ lbs ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 6–8 large cabbage leaves, chopped or layered
- ½ cup cooked bacon or ham, chopped (optional)
- Olive oil or butter for greasing

- Preheat oven
Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish. - Mix filling
In a bowl, combine ground meat, onion, rice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and half the cheese. - Assemble
Form the mixture into large meatballs and place in the baking dish.
Top with chopped cabbage and bacon/ham if using. - Bake
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden. - Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
