Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients

• 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled & deveined

⅓ cup butter, divided

• 4 cloves garlic, minced

• Juice of 1 lemon

• Zest of ½ lemon (optional but amazing)

• ½ tsp paprika

• ½ tsp Italian seasoning

• Salt & black pepper, to taste

• 1 tbsp olive oil

• 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

• Optional: pinch of chili flakes 🌶️

👩‍🍳 Instructions (Step-by-Step)

1️⃣ Season shrimp

• Pat shrimp dry.

• Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

2️⃣ Sear shrimp

• Heat olive oil + ½ of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

• Add shrimp in a single layer.

• Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden.

• Remove shrimp and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the sauce

• In the same skillet, add remaining butter.

• Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds (don’t burn it).

• Stir in lemon juice and zest.

4️⃣ Combine

• Return shrimp to the pan.

• Toss to coat in the lemon garlic butter sauce.

• Cook 1–2 minutes more.

5️⃣ Finish

• Sprinkle with parsley (and chili flakes if using).

• Serve immediately.
