Melt-in-the-Mouth Fruit Cake

Ingredients

Apples: 3 medium apples (peeled and finely chopped or grated).

Eggs: 3 large eggs.

Milk: 1 glass (approx. 200ml).

Sugar: 1/2 cup (adjust to taste).

Flour: 2 cups all-purpose flour.

Baking Powder: 1 tablespoon.

Raisins/Dried Fruit: 1/2 cup (as seen in the image).

Butter or Oil: 1/2 cup melted butter.

Instructions

1. Whisk: In a large bowl, beat the 3 eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and creamy.

2. Liquid Mix: Stir in the glass of milk and the melted butter.

3. Dry Ingredients: Gradually fold in the flour and baking powder until smooth.

4. Add Fruit: Fold in the chopped apples and the raisins. The moisture from the apples is what makes it “melt in the mouth.”

5. Bake: Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 180°C for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool: Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing.

Benefits

High in Fiber: Apples and raisins are excellent sources of dietary fiber, which aids digestion and promotes gut health.

Natural Antioxidants: Apples contain flavonoids and Vitamin C, which help boost the immune system.

Sustained Energy: The combination of complex carbs from the flour and natural sugars from the fruit provides a steady energy release.

Bone Health: The milk in the recipe provides calcium and Vitamin D, essential for maintaining strong bones and teeth.
