Ingredients
• Ground Beef: 1.5 lbs (formed into 6 patties).
• Cream of Mushroom Soup: 1 can (10.5 oz).
• Dry Onion Soup Mix: 1 packet (to season the beef and the gravy).
• Optional: 1/2 cup of water or milk (to thin the soup into a sauce).
Instructions
1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 175°C.
2. Season: Mix the ground beef with half the onion soup mix and form into thick patties. Place them in a glass baking dish.
3. Smother: In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, the rest of the onion soup mix, and a splash of water. Pour this mixture evenly over the raw beef patties (as shown in your image).
4. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35–45 minutes.
5. Finish: Remove the foil and bake for another 5–10 minutes until the gravy is bubbling and the beef is fully cooked.
6. Serve: Best served over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles to soak up the delicious gravy.
