Fermented Garlic Honey (The “Natural Antibiotic”)

Ingredients

1 cup Garlic Cloves: Peeled (use fresh, organic garlic for the best results).

1 cup Raw, Unfiltered Honey: (It must be raw to contain the necessary enzymes for fermentation).

1 Clean Glass Jar.

Preparation Method

1. Prep the Garlic: Lightly crush each peeled garlic clove with the side of a knife. This releases allicin, the active compound that provides most of the health benefits.

2. Combine: Place the cloves in the glass jar and pour the raw honey over them until they are completely submerged.

3. The Fermentation Process: Close the lid and keep the jar in a dark pantry at room temperature.

4. Burp the Jar: Every day for the first two weeks, open the lid to release any built-up gases, then close it again. Turn the jar upside down occasionally to ensure the cloves stay coated.

5. Wait: Let it ferment for at least 2 to 4 weeks. The honey will become runnier and the garlic will darken.

6. Usage: Take one teaspoon of the honey or one clove daily, especially during cold and flu season.
