Slow Cooker Tomato Garlic Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

6-8 Chicken Thighs: Bone-in or boneless, skinless is preferred for slow cooking.

1 Jar (approx. 24 oz) Marinara or Tomato Sauce: Your favorite brand.

1 tbsp Minced Garlic: Fresh or from a jar.

1 tsp Italian Seasoning: (Or a mix of dried oregano and basil).

Salt and Black Pepper: To taste.

• Optional: Red pepper flakes for a little kick.

Preparation Method

1. Season the Chicken: Lightly season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper on both sides.

2. Layer: Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker (crockpot) in an even layer.

3. Sauce it up: In a small bowl, mix the tomato sauce with the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken thighs until they are well covered.

4. Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or on High for 3–4 hours. The slow cooking process will make the thighs incredibly tender and juicy.

5. Serve: This dish is versatile! You can serve the chicken over a bed of pasta, with rice, or even alongside some crusty bread to dip into the rich tomato sauce.
