Hibiscus, Bay Leaf, and Cinnamon Wellness Tea

Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers (or 2 hibiscus tea bags)

2 dried bay leaves

1 Ceylon cinnamon stick

4 cups water

Optional: Honey or a slice of lemon to taste

Preparation

1. Boil Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium pot or kettle.

2. Infuse: Once boiling, turn off the heat. Add the dried hibiscus flowers, bay leaves, and the cinnamon stick to the water.

3. Steep: Cover the pot with a lid to keep the essential oils from escaping. Let the tea steep for 10–15 minutes. The water will turn a deep, vibrant red.

4. Strain: Use a fine-mesh strainer to pour the tea into a pitcher or individual mugs, removing the flowers and leaves.

5. Serve Hot: Enjoy it warm as a comforting, tart beverage.

6. Serve Cold (Iced): Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then pour over a glass filled with ice cubes.

7. Customize: Add a teaspoon of honey if you prefer a sweeter taste, or a squeeze of lemon to enhance the refreshing tartness.
