Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ⅓ cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup almond milk (or any milk)
- ¼ cup raisins or chopped nuts
- 1 cup dark chocolate chunks (optional, sugar-free if preferred)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven
- Set oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Mash & mix wet ingredients
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Stir in applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla.
3️⃣ Add dry ingredients
- Mix in oats, cinnamon, raisins or nuts, and chocolate chunks.
- Stir until everything is well combined.
- Let the mixture rest 5 minutes so oats absorb moisture.
4️⃣ Shape cookies
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons per cookie onto the baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly (they won’t spread much).
5️⃣ Bake
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
6️⃣ Cool & enjoy
- Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
- They firm up more as they cool.
Tips
✨ For crunchier cookies: bake 2–3 minutes longer
✨ For softer cookies: slightly underbake
✨ Add coconut flakes or peanut butter for variety
