Crispy Cabbage Fritters (Better Than Meat!)

Ingredients

  • 500 g cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour (about 60 g)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, but tasty)
  • ½ tsp baking powder (optional – extra fluffiness)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the cabbage

  • Place shredded cabbage in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle with salt and gently squeeze it with your hands to release excess moisture.
  • Drain any liquid.

2️⃣ Make the batter

  • Add onions and garlic to the cabbage.
  • Mix in eggs, flour, pepper, paprika, and baking powder (if using).
  • Stir until everything is well combined.
    👉 The mixture should be thick but scoopable.

3️⃣ Fry

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Spoon portions into the pan and gently flatten.
  • Fry 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels.

Creamy Yogurt Dip (Optional but AMAZING)

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika or chili flakes on top
