Oat & Apple Breakfast Loaf

Ingredients

• 1 cup (100 g) rolled oats

• 3 medium apples, grated (peel optional)

• ½ cup (120 ml) water

• 1 ripe banana, mashed

• 100 g (3.5 oz) dried blueberries

• 100 g (3.5 oz) raisins

Optional spices (recommended):

• 1 tsp cinnamon

• A pinch of nutmeg or vanilla

Optional topping:

• Chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)

👩‍🍳 Instructions (Step-by-Step)

1️⃣ Prepare the oats

• Place the oats in a bowl.

• Add the water and let them soak for 5–10 minutes until slightly soft.

2️⃣ Add fruit

• Add grated apples and mashed banana to the oats.

• Mix well until combined.

3️⃣ Add dried fruit & spices

• Stir in dried blueberries, raisins, and spices if using.

• The batter should be thick but spreadable.

4️⃣ Prepare baking pan

• Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

5️⃣ Bake

• Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the top.

• Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.

• Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 40–45 minutes, until golden and firm.

6️⃣ Cool & serve

• Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
