Creamy Milk Pudding (No-Bake Vanilla Dessert)

This silky milk pudding is light, creamy, and melts in your mouth. It’s made with simple pantry ingredients and sets perfectly in the fridge—no oven needed!

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

• 4 cups milk (1 liter)

• 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

• 1/4 cup cornstarch (about 4 tbsp)

• 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (optional, for extra body)

• 2 tbsp butter (or 2–3 tbsp heavy cream)

• 1 tsp vanilla extract (or vanilla powder)

• Pinch of salt

Optional topping: honey, caramel, fruit, nuts, or cinnamon

Instructions

1. Mix the dry ingredients

In a saucepan (off heat), whisk together sugar + cornstarch + flour + salt.

2. Add milk gradually

Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly until completely smooth (no lumps).

3. Cook until thick

Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk constantly.

When it starts to thicken and bubble, lower the heat and cook 1–2 minutes until smooth and glossy.

4. Finish with butter & vanilla

Turn off the heat. Stir in butter and vanilla.

5. Pour and chill

Pour into a serving bowl or individual cups.

Let cool at room temperature 20–30 minutes, then refrigerate 3–4 hours until fully set.

6. Serve

Scoop and enjoy cold. Add honey or your favorite topping if desired.

Tips for perfect texture

• Whisk continuously to prevent lumps and sticking.

• If you want it firmer, add 1 extra tbsp cornstarch.

• For an extra creamy flavor, replace 1 cup milk with half-and-half.
