Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 cans (21 oz each) strawberry pie filling
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow or white cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup milk or heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  1. Make the Cheesecake Mixture:

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Add the vanilla extract and egg, and mix until creamy.

  1. Assemble the Cake:

Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling and swirl gently with a knife.

Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the filling and cheesecake layers.

  1. Add the Butter:

Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the dry cake mix. For extra richness, drizzle the optional milk or heavy cream over any dry patches.

  1. Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

  1. Cool and Serve:

Let the dump cake cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
