Loaded Bacon Cheese Fries
Ingredients:
4 large russet potatoes (peeled and cut into fries or wedges)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon (about 6-8 strips)
1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbsp ranch dressing (optional)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions:
Prepare the Fries:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet, making sure they don’t overlap too much.
Bake the Fries:
Bake the fries for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy. If you prefer extra crispy fries, bake them for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Top with Cheese and Bacon:
When the fries are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Return the fries to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the fries are baking, cook the bacon and crumble it into small pieces.
Add Toppings:
Once the cheese is melted, remove the fries from the oven. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and chopped green onions over the top.
Serve:
Drizzle with sour cream and ranch dressing (if using). Serve immediately while hot and cheesy!
These Loaded Bacon Cheese Fries are the ultimate indulgence, perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish! The combination of crispy fries, melted cheese, bacon, and creamy toppings will have everyone coming back for more.
